We'll admit to the occasional shopping splurge — and we're betting you will, too. But wouldn't it be great if those impulse buys did more than just deck out our closets?
As you wish. Thanks to Giving Labels a Meaning, a charity effort started by District Sparkle blogger, Meaghan Moynahan, we can now take solace in knowing that our sometimes uncontrollable shopping habits can benefit those in need. The mission of G.L.A.M. is to combine a love for fashion with a desire to help the community, and you can get in on the action this week with a shopping event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of CASA DC, a cause near and dear to Moynahan's heart. You'll be able to shop goods from local designers, vintage retailers, and area boutiques, and 100% of proceeds will benefit child advocacy groups in the District.

And fortunately, you don’t need to be a big spender to support the cause — tickets start at $10. And you know what that means: More room in your budget for those irresistible finds.
