Citizen Cake Changes Its Name, Will Serve Sourdough Sundaes

There's a new exciting name change to announce! And no, it has nothing to do with Diddy (er, Swag). Inside Scoop SF has it that the Fillmore Street resto Citizen Cake (which recently relocated from Hayes Valley) will no longer be going by the same name. Come August 15, the new moniker, which is quite a mouthful, will be: Elizabeth Falkner’s Citizen Cake, Ice Cream Parlor & Eats. And that's not all that's going to change. “The menu is going to be totally different," chef and owner Falkner tells ISSF. "I finished doing this television program and came back to the restaurant and realized I’ve been doing the Citizen Cake thing for so long and it got too serious. I love to have fun with food, so I want to do something like Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor—but my take.” The revamped resto is now going to start serving up crazy, over-the-top sundaes (one that's a sourdough flavor!) and an extended savory menu. Check it all out at the link below and start making some room in that belly.
