Chris Benz’ ’70s Inspired Lineup Makes Nostalgia Fresh Again

Chris Benz spring 2011 was a sight for sore eyes, with an easy flowing palette of warm '70s hues that led into a mix of cool stone grays and cerulean. Purple nail polish and candy-colored hoop earrings kept the mood playful while sex appeal gracefully accompanied via sheer wrap dresses with chunky, imaginative embroidery. Sporty, wide-trimmed briefs could be seen just beneath all the sheer—a witty aside from the designer's point of view that could easily have gone wrong in hands less practiced. Stripes against florals, smart retro suits with over-sized buttons standing proudly by soft-tailored cocktail dresses and wide leg pants... It would seem that Chris Benz found a way to make nostalgia feel fresh.
