Learn How To Make Jar-Tastic Treats — For A Great Cause — Tonight!

2
We love thinking outside of the box — or any other contraption we can get our hands on. So, we're in extra luck tonight, since chefs Tony and Cathy Mantuano — and one of our fave PR gurus and hosts, Amanda Puck — are encouraging you to ditch the traditional table setting and go for something a bit more unconventional: bottles and jars.
Yep, your after-work plans just got a little bit more interactive. You can learn how to make Bar Toma's signature jarred items like house-made giardiniera and goat cheese and treviso marmalade, plus take your creation home when you're done — how cool is that?

Of course, all that creativity can make a person hungry, so there will be plenty of tasty bites like the spot's crispy thin pizzas, Nonna’s meatballs with spicy tomato sauce and pecorino, and black-bass crudo to go around. As for the bottle part of the equation, rest assured you'll be taken care of libation-wise.

Where: Bar Toma, 110 East Pearson Street (between Michigan and Wabash avenues), 312-266-3110.

When: Tonight! Thursday, September 20, 6 to 9 p.m.

Cost: $40 per person, profits benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository
