Azealia Banks Gets A High Fashion Makeover In New Vid, We’re Already Dancing

Azealia Banks is many things: rapper, singer, Twitter enthusiast, apparent Seth Rogen fan — and now her new video for “Van Vogue,” from her 1991 EP, makes a good argument for adding style star to the list. Directed by photographer and Dazed & Confused-founder Rankin (also responsible for that “Liquorice” hot dog-squeezing clip), the video features a very wet Banks still in #Seapunk mode as she dances, swims, and, of course, vogues in the dark. It’s an unabashedly sexy affair where slinky outfits, a wide-brimmed hat, and reverse smoke inhalation elevate Banks from foul-mouthed prankster to high fashion glam girl. While the lyrics may remain distinctly NSFW, the visuals are runway-worthy and miles away from the adorable DIY of last year's "212." If she has to give up her Mickey Mouse sweatshirt for more clips like this, we think it's an even trade. And visuals aside, she sure can rap, can't she?
