7 Fun Things To Do This Weekend

Lomography PhotoWalk

The new Lomography S.F. society is organizing its first PhotoWalk in the city this weekend, where photography fans will enjoy a shooting tour through Chinatown (lead by a Lomography expert) and learn how to do neat-o double exposures. Bring your own camera, or borrow one from Lomography for the tour.
When: Saturday, July 9, starts at noon

Renegade Craft Fair
Check out more than 200 indie crafters and learn how to do DIY projects yourself at this huge (and completely free!) craft fair. In addition to all the homemade goods for purchase, the Museum of Craft and Design will set up a MakeArt station, where guests can learn how to quill 3D paper flowers and create mini accordion-style journals. There will also be a friendship bracelet-making station and a photobooth!
When: Saturday, July 9, and Sunday, July 10, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Moveable Type Print Shop
Check out this new Moveable Type project by the San Francisco Center for the Book, in which visitors can check out a print shop built inside of an old 1982 Chevy van, and get demos and lessons in print-making and letterpress in the funky little studio-on-wheels. 

When: Saturday, July 9, noon to 6 p.m.

Public Bikes' One Year Anniversary Party
Celebrate one year of Public Bikes’ ultra-chic cycles at its big bash at its South Park shop. Food and drinks will be provided by neighboring eatery The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen and the party will also feature bike races, sweet deals on apparel, and a chance for guests to win a weekend at luxurious hotels across the country (including the Clift and h2hotel in Healdsburg).

15 Romolo's Punch Drunk Brunch
This weekend markets the debut of North Beach bar 15 Romolo's Punch Drunk Brunch, where it'll serve up a variety of brunch-y eats for under $10, including a burger with peanut-butter and bacon and a bourbon-soaked beef brisket hash, along with a wide variety of cocktails and, well, punch.

Sunday Streets on the Great Highway
Sunday Streets is back and the car-free zone will be along the Great Highway this time 'round (check out the map here). Take advantage for the empty coastal highway from Golden Gate Park to Sloat Avenue by exploring the Outer Sunset 'hood and all it has to offer (Outerlands, General Store, Java Beach Cafe, and Trouble Coffee included!).
