It may only be Monday, but that's not stopping us from planning an awesome weekend itinerary. This Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19, 52 O Street Artist Studios is throwing their semi-annual Open Studios event, which caters to our ultimate voyeuristic tendencies. What does that mean? Visitors get the opportunity to mingle with local talent and an intimate look at their rad work spaces!
The studio serves as the creative home to a multitude of D.C.-based artists, musicians, designers, writers, and performers, all of whom will be hanging out in the flesh for the two-day event. Visitors can wander, explore, meet, greet, and purchase new works from where the proverbial magic happens. And, as if the featured spaces weren't enough, there will also be live performances, letterpress and screenprinting demos, film screenings, and food trucks. Even better: the whole thing is free! It would take a lot for us to miss this one.
