Jemima Kirke is a lot more fortunate than her character on Girls, who's been through some rough times of late (we won't say it, but you know what we mean). She's already gaining rapid recognition as a budding artist (her preferred trade to appearing on screen). Case in point? One of her paintings, a portrait called "Teddy," is going on sale at Christie's this Friday for an estimated $6,000 to $8,000.
While this price could greatly help out Ms. Johansson's post-break-up circumstances, the IRL artist is donating the proceeds to benefit the Brooklyn Museum's artistic activities programs. Yes, the actress-cum-painter donated the oil-on-canvas to be sold alongside 22 other pieces of work, all by Brooklyn-based artists (including Oscar Tuazon and Keltie Ferris). Signed '12 Kirke, this hang-able momento might be your best-bet way to invest in Jessa's future success... wait, we mean Jemima.
