Save The Date: 3 Editorial Darlings Launch A New Pop-Up Market

2
Starting next Thursday, you're going to be busier than ever until the end of the year, which is why we're giving you a heads-up on a sweet event that you absolutely cannot miss. Reserve your evening on December 6 for the inaugural launch of Fête Chicago, a new pop-up market concept from Emily Fiffer (DailyCandy), Heather Sperling (Tasting Table), and Jessica Herman (formerly of Time Out Chicago) — how's that for some serious girl power?
With the pressure on to find that unique gift, the timing couldn't be more perfect. While the complete vendor list is still in the works (18 and counting), we're pretty sure Mom would adore a hand-dyed scarf from Heshima Kenya — or a vintage entertaining piece from Dinner Party. And your BFF? A bauble from Dorus Mhor is a sure-fire bet — and so is a box of Champagne truffles from Veruca Chocolates. You never know when the next bad blind date might show up.

To keep you fueled up, there will be eats like nachos from Sauce and Bread Kitchen, charcuterie from Old Town Social, hot chocolate and sweets from Mindy Segal, and more. And with complimentary bubbles from Illinois Sparkling Co. and custom playlists from Uncanned Music, this really is a party.

What: Fête Chicago

When: Thursday, December 6 from 6 to 10 p.m.

Where: Room 1520, 1520 West Fulton Street (at Justine Street); 312-952-1520.

Cost: $5 at the door or in advance here. A portion of the proceeds from ticket and vendor sales will benefit Fresh Moves, a Chicago nonprofit that delivers fresh produce to local food deserts by converted CTA bus.
