In we-didn't-see-this-coming news, Jon Hamm has set his sights on SpongeBob SquarePants — yes, really. Hamm is bringing a little bit of Mad Men to an upcoming episode of the beloved Nickelodeon series. As Uproxx reports, Hamm will voice the character of Don Grouper — sound at all familiar? He will be “a charismatic head ad executive of the ad agency Grouper, Goby & Koi," says Uproxx. Grouper will be helping Mr. Krabs launch his line of frozen Krabbie Patties. "His sharp mind and devastating charm make him an irresistible force. When Don’s in the room, everyone laps up his words like overpriced organic honey," Nickelodeon stated. The episode is slated to air sometime in 2016. Hamm, of course, is coming off his long-overdue Emmy win for Outstanding Actor in a Drama for Mad Men. A SpongeBob episode is an interesting way to celebrate, but hey, we're not complaining.
