Short-Shorts Season Has Returned For Taylor Swift

Memorial Day is over, and at long last, summer has officially returned. Warm weather isn’t the only thing that’s made a comeback, however. In keeping with the changing seasons, Taylor Swift and her endless collection of short shorts have made their annual reappearance. Last year, Taylor descended on New York City, buying a Tribeca penthouse, where she was photographed in a seemingly infinite stream of hot pants — sometimes pleated, sometimes patterned, always miniscule.

After spending the last month in the spotlight on her 1989 tour, she took a break — only to step right back into it, what with all the paparazzi perpetually camped outside her downtown residence. Ever camera-ready, Taylor paired her beloved shorts (this time, in black jacquard check) with a sleeveless, high-neck sweater. The eye-popping turquoise pumps would have been an unexpected addition, if this weren't Taylor Swift we were talking about. Fortunately, her colorblock snakeskin bag that cleverly incorporated the red of her lipstick with the shades of her separates made it all come together seamlessly. Paparazzi or not, it’s an outfit worth stealing.
