Athleisure may have hit its peak. The trend took over the runway a few seasons back, making it socially acceptable to wear sneakers to swanky galas and sweats on the red carpet. So, it’s no surprise that fleece onesies are now fair game as streetwear. What is surprising is that the slacker statement piece popped up on Kylie Jenner, whose take on casual typically involves stilettos and something slinky.
For lunch at Nobu with Kendall, Kylie wore a sleeveless T by Alexander Wang jumpsuit. The designer has long been a champion of athletic-inspired apparel (who can forget his sport-at-night-inspired H&M collab?). Because he’s such a pro, he manages to make heather-gray fleece (which wouldn’t be out of place in gym class) look sleek, not sloppy.
Sticking with the sporty vibe, Kylie finished off her outfit with leather Converse high-tops and a Stella McCartney backpack. Comfort pretty much never looks this cool, so you should steal it for yourself.
