We’ve known for awhile that JNCO Jeans — the ’90s dungarees with legs so comically wide they could conceal a skateboard — are staging a comeback. But, we could never have guessed that Kate Bosworth would be one of the first to champion the pants. Granted, the actress has been known to embrace tricky trends. (Last month, she successfully took flared overalls out for a spin; a week later at Coachella, she bravely risked grass stains in a white mini dress.) But, wide-legged jeans are a uniquely tough trend to try. Bosworth proved to be up for the challenge. Earlier this week, she wore a pair of cropped denim culottes reminiscent of the slacker-approved jeans of yore. Paired with lace-up heels and a fringed purse, though, the pants looked totally sophisticated. Topping the statement piece with something super low-key — in this case, a marled, moss-green sweater — made them especially easy to pull off. So easy, in fact, that you can totally do it too.
