News flash: Cult TV show Absolutely Fabulous is coming to a big screen near you soon. Okay, more like soonish. On the breakfast show This Morning, Jennifer Saunders, the show’s creator and star, revealed her plans: “There isn’t [a movie] but there will be. I’m close to picking up a pen, that’s how close it is.”
Before you pop open the Bollinger and dust down your Christian Lacroix trouser suit, the project isn’t going to happen for a little while yet. Saunders, who plays the infamous PR guru Edina Monsoon on the show, admits she won’t be writing for Ab Fab in 2013. Instead, the project will kick off after Christmas,

“But after Christmas. There’s so much to do before. I don’t want to write it before Christmas, that would be silly. I’ll do it after.”
