The Kitten Bowl Replaces The Puppy Bowl, As It Should

Some of us are just plain rotten people who couldn't give a damn about puppies. And, for us, salvation has arrived in the form of The Kitten Bowl, the inaugural alternative to the canine-driven Super Bowl show produced by The Hallmark Channel for the last nine years. The kittens have been given short shrift as mere guests, appearing during halftime of past Puppy Bowls. Now, however, the show is all theirs, as it should be.
Beth Stern will host the event, while Yankees radio announcer John Sterling will provide the commentary. A slew of television celebrities of various caliber — including Regis Philbin, Rachael Ray, and Hoda Kotb — will also appear. But, they're mere window dressing to the main event.
Which, we repeat, is kittens. Fur-real.
The Kitten Bowl airs on Super Bowl Sunday, February 2, on the Hallmark Channel. (Hallmark)
