The Hunger Games who? Even though the world is completely caught up in Catching Fire's looming release, Divergent isn't about to get left in the dust. The flick just released a brand-new, full-length trailer that's totally blowing our minds. Up to this point, much of what we knew about the series came from movie snippets and interviews with the book's authors. But, today's clip is giving us so much more.
We're first reintroduced to Tris Prior, Shailene Woodley's character, as she prepares for her mandatory (and state-sponsored) virtue test. She's supposed to be evaluated and assigned to a faction, but as we're shown, the tests do not work on her. She's labeled as a Divergent, a group that threatens the order of the dystopian society — run by Kate Winslet, no less. Tris is forced to hide in plain sight, working to make sure that no one finds out her Divergent status.
Of course, things don't quite go as planned. The trailer keeps the tension building from minute one, showing Tris training for the Dauntless faction (which, yes, is as scary as it sounds), and doing all sorts of insanely dangerous and futuristic things. In short, it is awesome. Watch below to totally forget about Katniss Everdeen. (People)
