J.Crew Designs The Ultimate Taxi Cab, Ahead Of Its London Debut

There’s a major American invasion happening in London. First Banana Republic, then Shake Shack, next Five Guys, and now it's J.Crew's turn. In aid of its British debut, the brand has commissioned set designer and artist Shona Heath to jazz up the flagship store's façade whilst they get it ready. And attention grabbing, it certainly is, with giant London cab installations elevated high above the store. Oh, and by giant, we mean to scale, complete with Rococo-style decoration and "J.CREW" written out in (top) lights.
The flagship store occupies the former Burberry building at 156 Regent Street, and is set to open on November 1. Not content with just one giant store, the brand is opening two other stores in the capital — one on Brompton Cross, and a menswear store on Lambs Conduit Street. And, we're happy to see the collaboration with the celebrated set designer not only create a buzz and get eyes a-looking, but also embrace a bit of true Brit culture. J.Crew's here and it means business, people.
