Hands up: Who wants this to be true? Rumours are swirling about the Rolling Stones headlining this year’s Glastonbury. And at least one member of the band is keen on the idea. Ronnie Wood has pledged to twist his bandmates’ arms until they agree.
We don’t condone physical violence of any description but we do hope his argument for playing the legendary festival falls on attentive ears. Their live show has Pyramid stage written all over it and their back catalogue could take the length of their set list into record-breaking territory.
The band isn’t scheduled to meet up till March but according to Woods, it is the first item on his agenda. Fingers are firmly crossed. (The Guardian)
