Queer Eye Were In Japan Internet Reactions, Best Moment

After what felt like a lifetime, the Fab Five are back on our screens. In a new four-episode mini-season titled Queer Eye: We’re in Japan, the group ventures out of the U.S. to Tokyo, and there are three key moments everyone can’t stop talking about.

Hosts Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, Bobby Berk, and Tan France meet Yoko, a 57-year-old private hospice nurse, in episode 1. Yoko’s friend notes that while she’s fun and giving, Yoko doesn’t make a lot of time for herself. The group helps Yoko change this, and viewers couldn’t get enough of her selfless spirit or pie-baking evening with Porowski, where she was, dare we say, flirting with him.

Another standout moment from the season comes in episode 4 when the Fab Five meet Makoto, a 35-year-old radio director stuck in a sexless marriage and lacking in all areas of his life. While France’s reaction to hearing the former is priceless, it's Makoto’s conversation with his wife in the episode that has everyone wondering who's chopping onions.

The final memorable moment pretty much sums up the entire season and exactly what we’re all asking anytime we watch an episode of Queer Eye.

“Why does kindness make me so emotional?” Porowski asks in episode 1 while tearing up.

We may never know the answer to that question, but we do know that this season of Queer Eye, filled with Japanese culture and unique heroes, was one of the most compelling yet.
