However, if you’re partial to being a bit of a sweet tooth, one way to indulge in self-care is to bake you and your loved ones a delicious treat. 
If you’re short on time or just want a no-fuss baking experience, then read on for four dessert recipes that only use a handful of ingredients.
From decadent French toast to wintery s'mores, these Baileys Liqueur recipes will help you to make room for more indulgence in your life.

Choco Mousse

This chocolate cream mousse is a delicious, adult take on a crowd favourite.

Ingredients

200ml Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur
2 medium eggs, separated
150g dark chocolate, chopped
1tsp unsalted butter
250ml double cream
Chocolate shavings to garnish

Method

Melt the chocolate and allow it to cool slightly. Then, beat in the egg yolks and butter.
Lightly whip the cream and Baileys. Fold half of it into the chocolate mix.
Whisk the egg whites until just stiff. Fold with the chocolate mixture. Try not to eat it all at this point.
Spoon half of the chocolate mousse into four glasses, follow with some chocolate shavings and then half of the cream mixture.
Repeat the layers and top with the remaining chocolate shavings.
Pop it in the fridge for three hours before serving it to your enamoured guests. Done!

French Toast

What's more indulgent than a serving of French toast for Sunday brunch? Impress your pals with this level-up of the traditional dish. Ooh la la.

Ingredients

100ml Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur
2 eggs
30ml milk
4 slices of bread
40g butter
Whipped cream, raspberries, blueberries and a dusting of icing sugar to garnish

Method

Firstly, beat the eggs, milk and Baileys together in a bowl.
Pour over the slices of bread on a plate and let it soak in for a couple of minutes.
Melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Then, fry the bread slices for around two mins each or until golden on each side.

Arrange the French toast on plates. Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream, handfuls of raspberries and blueberries, drizzles of chocolate sauce or golden syrup, and a dusting of icing sugar. Bon appétit!

S'mores

While this dessert is traditionally American, s'mores make for the perfect wintery treat as you sit around the campfire (or fireplace if the outdoors isn't your thing). It'll be a melting moment in no time.

Ingredients

100ml Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur
100g crumbled digestives or shortbread
100g mini marshmallows
120g marshmallows
100ml chocolate sauce

Method

Crumble the shortbread in the bottom of a jar. Dollop on as many marshmallows as you fancy.
Heat the chocolate sauce and pour it into the jars.
Sprinkle on the mini marshmallows before pouring the Baileys over your creation. Now, toast the marshmallows with a blow torch until they're melted and delicious. Our mission to make s'mores happen in Australia is complete.

Strawberries & Cream Shortcake

Strawberry shortcake with a twist. This decadent dessert is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth and be a hit amongst friends. Bring it to your next dinner party or afternoon tea to sweeten it up.

Ingredients

100ml Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur
100g cream cheese
150ml double cream
180g chopped strawberries, and extra slices to garnish
70g crumbled shortbread

Method

Beat the Baileys and cream cheese with a balloon whisk until smooth.
Whip the double cream. Add it to the bowl with the cream cheese mixture, along with the strawberries. Fold together.

Crumble the biscuits into two glasses. Add the strawberries and cream mixture. Top with strawberries and chill for 30 minutes. Short and sweet. Yum.
