Jimmy Fallon's "Thank You Notes" segment is one of our favorite things on television. And, this weekend, Fallon welcomed Mayor Bloomberg to join in on the gratitude fest. As Bloomberg's time in office comes to a close, it's the perfect time to reflect on what he — and we — should be thankful for in New York. Though it may surprise you, he kind of nailed it.
So, to whom did Bloomberg send notes? Jay Z, for starters. Plus, the mayor poked fun at his own campaign against larger-than-life soft drinks. See? He can dish it out and take it. And, you'd be surprised at how quickly he picked up Fallon's art of the pen-to-paper flair. Say what you will about Bloomberg's warfare on Big Gulps and cigarettes — the guy is funny. (Gothamist)
