United Bamboo’s New Line Makes Us Want To Re-Take THE SATs

le-bac-united-bamboo
We're excited to finally say bonjour to United Bamboo's diffusion line Le Bac (French abbreviation for le baccalauréat—aka the SAT equivalent for Frenchies) offers that prep-student-with-an-edge look sans those hefty Ivy League prices. Designed by Miho Aoki and Thuy Pham, Le Bac's fall '10 line, made in Japan, is comprised of classic separates, such as denim-and-plaid bowtie shirts, a cable cardigan, and a variety of shirt dresses. The mini four-piece release we saw last fall only whet our appetite for the debut of the full range, with 28 have-to-have mens and women's essentials—despite the fact the United Bamboo's chic, cheaper counterpart wasn't modeled on a group of exceptionally fashionable felines. Get your Gossip Girl on at a Jenny Humphrey price before the term ends—reasonably inexpensive ($80 to $300) never looked so unreasonably expensive, especially with that limited-edition tote, non?
Available at Bird, 220 Smith Street (corner of Butler Street); 718-797-3774.
