As the dust settles, post-SXSW, and everyone tries to make sense of a blurry, beer-y week of music and parties, more than a few people I’ve talked with have cited L.A. trio HAIM as a particularly stellar highlight of their time in Austin. While the Haim sisters only have a few songs to their (quite literal) name, the trio shouldn't be mistaken for an all-caps Hanson of the Internet age.
In fact, over the course of just one EP and their superb live show, Alana, Este, and Danielle have managed to define themselves with an infectious R&B-tinged sound right out of the gate. “Forever,” the eponymous and best song on said EP is a bouncy tune that hits all the right ‘80s pop pleasure-centers. You can grab the entire Forever EP for free here, in exchange for an email address. Happy Monday, and you're welcome!
