This Is Our Jam: Best Coast, “The Only Place”

On May 15, Best Coast will release their sophomore record The Only Place, and while fidelity may have increased since 2010's Crazy For You, Bethany Cosentino and Bob Bruno's love of California hasn't lessened one iota. The title track from the record is an ode to SoCal sunshine that takes itself about as seriously as a Saturday at the beach: "We’ve got the ocean, got the babes / Got the sun, we’ve got the waves," sings Bethany between gratuitous use of the F-word ("fun," of course!).
