shop0924.jpg
It's true, you no longer need to feel guilty for splurging on Zac Posen dresses and Jill Stuart blouses&strong;San Francisco's answer to shopping remorse comes in the form of a new boutique called Philanthropist. Created by best friends Jessica Moment and Sally Fowler—both ex-Gappers—Philanthropist channels the public's love of fashion and shopping for a good cause by donating 100%—that's right 100%—of all profits to Bay Area charities. The charity of choice will change with each season, the first being Raphael House, which benefits families in need by assisting them in achieving financial stability and independence. The Presidio Heights shop will stock collections from ,Doo.ri, Rachel Roy, Richard Chai, Allegra Hicks, Gryphon, Loeffler Randall, and Rag & Bone as well Jewelry and handbags from local designers Alana Leigh and 1G, respectively. Towards the back of the shop, patrons will find another humanitarian touch—a Champagne bar stocked to the brim and mini cupcakes. So, get out your credit card—it's all in the name of charity, right?
