This Is Our Jam Premieres: Reptile Youth, “Shooting Up Sunshine” Video

When we last featured Reptile Youth, it was for its darkly catchy song “Black Swan Born White” and its accompanying 16mm video. Now, the Danish duo is readying its self-titled debut (out September 9), and its new track “Shooting Up Sunshine” offers a sunnier side to the band’s genre-blending sound.

The track is as blissful as its title would suggest, with a video starring model Alyona Shishmareva who frolics through a suburban landscape acting out Americana clichés in dangerously short cutoffs. While these guys may sing about “surfing on endorphins,” and the title may reference less benign pleasures, the track itself is addictive enough on its own.
