Pop the champy, California! We are beyond elated that the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals came to the momentous decision that deems Proposition 8 unconstitutional. Umm, it's about time! Ruling that it “served no purpose” and had “no such reason to be enacted," the Federal Appeals Court has at least temporarily made sure that this prop is finito (hello, Supreme Court case). And right before Valentine’s Day, too!
We know many happy couples who will soon be saying very loving "I dos" — especially now that we are much, much closer to statewide equality.
