This Is Our Jam: Postiljonen, “Rivers”

post
Stockholm’s Postiljonen may be garnering comparisons to fellow Scandinavian dream pop act jj, yet instead of taking inspiration from hip-hop and island beats, Postiljonen’s newly released single “Rivers” projects dusky American gospel across a panorama of icy fjords and wintry forests. The video for “Rivers” serves as a lush visual accompaniment, interweaving natural imagery, half-empty nightclubs, and homemade travel footage into a flickering lomofied collage. It’s one of the more beautiful things you’ll find on the Internet today, and should adequately satisfy your Monday afternoon cravings for wanderlust (you know, because we all get those right?). Watch the video below, and download the track on Soundcloud.
