Forgive us for making comparisons, but while we’re obviously thrilled for the singer’s happy news, and her thriving relationship, we can’t help but be a little bummed that the heart-wrenching ballads and make-us-cry power anthems are potentially in Adele’s past. What are we going to listen to over a pint of Ben & Jerry’s the next time we need to feel like a breakup cliché?
However, we’re nothing if not resourceful, and fortunately, the bright minds over at Epic have gone out and found an equally talented diva to fill the void in our hearts (and hopefully, yours, too). Meet
Paloma Faith. Also British, also a songwriter, and also boasting lungs and range we can’t quite wrap our heads around, this already-huge-in-the-U.K. singer completely won us over at a small performance at Soho House in NYC a few weeks ago. She screened the below video to her single, "Picking Up The Pieces," for us, and we were floored.
