One Weekend Must-Do: Modern-Day Vaudeville Hits Chicago

brilliant

We were always jealous of the Vaudevillian days, and not just because of the outfits. The idea of being entertained by a variety of talents and formats seems like a completely lost art. The brains behind Brilliant Corners of Modern Amusements totally get it, and they've devised a three-day entertainment-o-rama to delight Chicago. The first component of the event is much like a street fair, with craft and food vendors in an area open to the public, but Brilliant Corners of Modern Amusements will also feature two large big-top circus tents featuring ticket shows. Some performers include: Shellac, El Circo Cheapo, Bill Callahan, School of Seven Bells, Bomba Estereo, Dan Deacon, and Fool's Gold, just to name a few. We're feeling the format and hugeness of this event, and can't wait to experience a different, dare we say better form of entertainment.
