Nerd Alert: Spend An Hour This Saturday Finding Waldo With Where’s Waldo NYC!

Some of our fondest summer memories from childhood were playing "manhunt" and "capture the flag" all around the neighborhood at twilight, mosquitos and curfews be damned. Unfortunately jobs, responsibility, and, who are we kidding, laziness, and a love affair with air conditioning have made these games nothing but sweet reminiscences. A group of clever New Yorkers, however, are bringing some of our childhood back by staging real-life games of Where's Waldo. You heard correct, New Yorkers are dressing up as Where's Waldo characters and you have to find them, as well as a list of other things. Sign up on the Where's Waldo NYC website with your friends, and then receive the time and place for the hunt as well as a scavenger list. The game only lasts an hour and you must take a picture with the people and items you find as proof (items include things like "person in NYU sweatshirt"). In the end, points are totaled up and the team with the most wins! Wins what? Looks like it's a secret, but it sounds like a really cute way to kill an hour on the weekend nonetheless. The next game is being held this Saturday, June 25, so gather up your friends, register on the site, and find some red-and-white stripes to wear.
