In the spirit of wedding season, one local expo is offering advice for couples who call it quits before that whole "til death do us part" thing. Much like the bridal shows that are infinitely popular during the summer months, The Divorce Expo will feature area experts offering advice to man and wife ... only you won't find any floral vendors or cake tasting here. Instead, booths will deal with more serious matters like finances and insurance.
The expo is sponsored by Split Partners, a divorce-consulting firm that was started by a divorcée who struggled through the difficult process and wanted to help others avoid making the same mistakes. While an event like this may seem morbid and slightly depressing, we think it's totally legit — if holy matrimony turns out to be much shorter than planned, it's better to have someone to guide you through the process, right?
