Male Models Go American Psycho For Vice's 1% Photoshoot At OWS

VICE Magazine – the publishing equivalent of huffing spray paint – has just dropped another of its often droll, spiky fashion editorials. Demonstrating both our nation's inherit income inequality and the rather sizable cajones of the periodical's fashion editors, the aptly named American Psycho menswear photo essay features a clutch of Patrick Batemanesque models sporting four-figure outfits by Dior Homme, Vivienne Westwood Man, English Laundry, and others amid the throngs of Occupy Wall Street protestors in and around Manhattan's Zuccotti Park. Luckily for the models, the activists seemed to understand the shoot was all in good fun. The result is a spread that is not only a decent editorial with some nice little commentary on the demonstrations, but also a snapshot of a place and time that has already crossed from current events into history, both of fashion and otherwise. Clever, no? (VICE)
