Mon Dieu! Get Your French On At This Macaron-Making Class

Here at R29, we can't get enough of the meringue-y goodness that is the macaron — we'll eat them in twos or threes when nobody's looking. Unfortunately, the bakers at the local patisseries are starting to judge us for showing up after hours begging for more, which is why we're dying to take this new class by the culinary gurus of Give Me Some Sugar. On Wednesday evenings during March and April, they'll be dishing out tips and cooking advice to those lucky enough to snag tix (get 'em fast!). We're not too savvy in the kitchen, but hopefully after three hours of coaching we'll have perfected the art of the macaron, or, at least we'll be skilled enough to satisfy our own cravings.
Give Me Some Sugar is also hosting a two-day cake decorating workshop in April, for all the DIY brides out there. The instructors take requests and allow you to take home your creation, so you can cross off a major portion of that nagging to-do list.
When: All classes from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., see website for specific dates.
Where: Give Me Some Sugar, 2205 West Belmont Avenue (at Levitt); 773-281-3154.
