As lovers of Isaac mourn the end of his sunny sheet sets and quirky design wares for Target (his contract expired recently), they might just have something else to get excited about: his debut as creative director for Liz Claiborne. Honestly, we haven't given Liz Claiborne a second thought in the past few years, at least not until we got ahold of these recent images from Isaac's first collection for the label. Some of the looks are characteristically Isaac, like a bold orange dress with standout tulip collar. He's also updated the working woman's wardrobe (Claiborne's chief clientele, we'd imagine) with a denim skirt suit and khaki sheath dress. The line debuts in department stores next month, so swing on by your nearest Macy*s and pick something up for mom, and maybe even yourself (WWD).
