Halston Documentary Arrives At The Tribeca Film Fest In S.F.!

If Bill Cunningham Takes New York left you wanting more fashion-devoted films, this weekend’s Tribeca Film Fest has you covered. Come Saturday, the Presidio Theatre will be rolling Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston, depicting the life of Roy Halston Frowick (America’s first celebrity designer!), amidst the high-fashion, glam-city nightlife of the ’70s.
In the doc, you’ll hear personal accounts about Halston from familiar fashion faces such as Diane Von Furstenberg, André Leon Talley, and Liza Minnelli. Have any Halston conundrums? When the film’s finished, director Whitney Sudler-Smith will be there to answer your Qs in a live Q&A! And there’s no way we’re missing out on the man responsible for all these ’70s trend throwbacks!
When: Saturday, October 9th, 3:15 p.m.
Where: Presidio Theatre, 2340 Chestnut Street, 415-776-2388.
