Watch The Best Dye Job In Chicago Go Down This Saturday

Get your St. Patrick’s Day off to a merry start at the annual dyeing of the Chicago River. For the past 50 years, the Chicago River has glistened a perfect shade of Irish green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, and this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. the tradition will live on between Columbus Drive and Wabash Avenue. The event’s organizers recommend optimal viewing of the event along the riverbanks, as well as on the Wabash Avenue Bridge, the Michigan Avenue Bridge, and the Columbus Drive Bridge. And fear not, environmentalists – the dye formula is 100% environmentally friendly, making the event green in more ways than one. So get in the St. Paddy’s day spirit – because if you miss out on this party, you’ll be green with envy!
