Just yesterday we were discussing the virtues of investing in good pieces—especially during a recession—shoes, jackets, leather Celine pants that you're likely to have for as long as you can fit into them. None of this disposable crap! Well, lo and behold while our talk bubbles are still floating over our heads, in pops the new Clergerie spring/summer collection. Wowza! Did it get our pulses racing or what. That metallic brogue? Those denim platform boots? Even the winklepicker-style lace-ups are so good. We would happily wear any of these for the next 30 years (and with this economy, we might have to).
