Is Erin Wasson The Poster Child For SoCal Style?

Sure, she's a model, but not very many people can pull off feathered headpieces, sequin shorts, and leopard coats quite like Erin Wasson. While her pretty mug and endless stems have landed her coveted campaigns for Esprit and Rockport, it's her off-duty style that has labels like Zadig & Voltaire and RVCA reaching out with offers. And, from the looks of her Q&A with LA Confidential, it doesn't seem like the Texas native has plans to cool her jets anytime soon.
Whether she's cooking from the convenience of her Venice pad or perusing Melrose Trading Post for inspiration, Wasson clearly defines the Cali-cool vibe that glossies strive for in their shoots. Even photog Ben Sherman agrees saying, “Californian style [is] has a mix of surf and skate style, but she has mixed those with a fashion aesthetic” continuing on to call her taste, “super relaxed, yet adventurous.”
Sounds about right — L.A.'s a cluster you-know-what of personalities: fancy-pants folks of Rodeo Drive co-mingle with the sun-kissed kids who skate and surf on a daily basis. And, somehow, Wasson embodies every Angeleno. She manages to have that James Dean effect on a white T-shirt and skinny jeans — making her styling techniques one of her most copied traits, right after her perfect, beachy waves. (LA Confidential)
