Andy Warhol, Michael Jackson, and Kermit the Frog Hit the Catwalk for Castelbajac

Oh, Paris Fashion Week. In between the big names, the big designers, and--let's not forget--the big heads, we could all use a designer like Jean-Charles de Castelbajac to lighten the mood a little. After all, this was the man who fashioned that ridiculous coat of teddy bears for Madonna in the film Prêt-à-Porter. The French nobleman-turned-designer's fall 09 collection hit the runway yesterday, a madcap grab bag of hair-y dresses, Kermit the Frog screenprints, and confetti sequin dresses with matching hoods. Boxy frocks with Andy Warhol's face imprinted on it had hair coming out of the top, which looked uncannily like the late artist's infamous mop. The dollar bill dress, on the other hand, had hints of Jeremy Scott, while we were tickled silly by the furry green Kermit the Frog hat, complete with crazy eyes. We would shamelessly sport one of these picks at our next costume party, but what say ye: pretty fabulously wacky, or just plain tacky?
