Each look that made its down the Burberry spring '10 runway (and the fall runway too, but that's another story) made our heart race a little faster, and while we would have loved to snap up every single thing, it's a little more realistic that we purchase just a single skirt or beautiful sweater. The signature gabardine trench coat with the knotted epaulettes in particular has been swimming through our dreams, but the $2,595 price tag has been haunting our nightmares. We've found a chic alternative that nearly lives up to the original without depleting our savings. It's pretty inspired by the real deal, but the Lipsy is missing the special details like the chic fastens, the impeccable cut, and the signature back vent that makes the Burberry version a trench and not a mac. But for 5% of the original price, we can stomach a decrease in quality for something so, so adorable.
