The fashion industry has gotten even more interesting lately — and not just because of the clothes coming down the runway. Instead, we're talking about the more diverse group of models that have come to represent major brands. For example, it was only a month ago that Jillian Mercado (who uses a wheelchair as a result of her spastic muscular dystrophy) starred in a Diesel campaign. Today, though, we're celebrating model Debbie van der Putten, who's now teamed with major Dutch retailer de Bijenkorf. And, her name is certainly one to remember.
Van der Putten tragically lost her arm in an accident about nine years ago, but she didn't let that keep her from moving forward with her career. In fact, the beauty's appearance fronting the de Bijenkorf app campaign is just her latest project. Besides taking part in various modeling competitions, she books work regularly — just check out her website. Gorgeous stuff.
