Looks like Miley Cyrus has got some competition. Proving that she's a good sport and a pretty dab hand at dancing, Dame Helen Mirren showed off her twerking skills during the presentation of her Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year Award at Harvard yesterday. That's right. We used Dame Helen Mirren and twerking in the same sentence. She's just that cool.
"I've tried in my bedroom in private, in front of the mirror, very unsuccessfully, so [it's] absolutely humiliating to have to do it in public in front of a whole load of people," the Oscar winner said after her big bum-shaking moment. "But I obviously couldn't get out of it, it was an inevitable end to the whole proceedings." Embarrassing or not, we think the 68-year-old did such an impressive job. The award is handed out annually by Harvard's Hasty Pudding Theatricals group in an elaborate roast and parade. Mirren joked that it was a bigger moment than earning her Dame distinction from Prince Charles. This presentation at least had more cursing and interesting revelations.
