Modcloth Finally Makes Its Retro Styles Available For ALL

Do you live for retro A-line dresses? Would you never dream of leaving your house without your tortoiseshell cat-eye glasses? Is Esther Williams your poolside girl crush? If you’ve answered yes to any of these, then you might just be a ModCloth devotee.
But what’s a retro-loving girl to do if she’s a bit thicker than the average '50s chick? Thankfully, ModCloth has now introduced an extended range of sizes, from size 16 up to size 30.
With more U.S. women wearing a size 16 than a size 0 and a size 2 combined, it was an incredibly intelligent move for ModCloth to jump onto the plus-size bandwagon. “Our community is asking for more sizes, and we’re thrilled to provide them,” explained ModCloth co-founder and chief creative officer Susan Gregg Koger. “No matter her size, shape, or style, we want to help every woman find designs that delight her and make her feel like the best version of herself.”
Not only will ModCloth provide an ample amount of styles from size 0 to size 30 (XS to 4X), it will continue to feature models that are a variety of sizes, as well as recruit customers and its own employees to help showcase designs on an even greater breadth of body types.
We can only hope that ModCloth’s inclusion of a larger size range is a trend that more online and brick-and-mortar stores will follow; it not only benefits a wider customer base, but their bottom dollar, too.
