Scope The Style (& Sound) Of D.C.'s Up-And-Coming Music Acts

byt-slide
When it comes to really inspiring musical acts, everyone knows that the audio and visual components go hand in hand. Translation? Musicians that sound cool tend to look cool, too. So, in honor of an upcoming showcase for emerging local artists at The Hamilton, Brightest Young Things has started documenting the style of a dozen DMV music mavens. Shot by local photog Kate Warren, the first series of images spotlights Drop Electric, Beyond Modern, and Black Hills, and it pretty clearly demos the wide range of style — both sartorial and musical — in the area. Sneak a peek at the images here, and don't forget to snag a $20 ticket to the showcase on April 6. BYT says it best: Think of it as "non-sucky battle of the bands where everybody wins."
