Downton Abbey Withdrawal? Lady Mary Stars In A Must-Watch Thriller

There's a lot to be said about the trailer for Restless, a new TV mini-series on The Sundance Channel. First of all, it looks crazy exciting, not in the least bit because we will pretty much watch anything with British actors that's labeled a "mini-series." But, most importantly, Lady Mary (a.k.a. Michelle Dockery, of Downton Abbey fame) is wearing jeans.
It's only about one second long, but that image of her in a (flattering, super-cool) pair of high-waisted stunners is enough to scar us for life. What do you think you're doing, dressing like that? Get back upstairs and have Anna dress you for dinner this minute, young lady! Imagine if the Dowager Countess saw you like that...what's next, you're hanging with Bronson?

Now that that's out of our systems, can we just say we will so be adding this show to our to-watch lists? Here's the brief: Dockery stars as a daughter who discovers her mother (played by Charlotte Rampling) was a spy during WWII. Oscilating between the late '70s and late '30s, the show is billed as "an enthralling story of wartime espionage, love, and betrayal," with a stellar supporting cast that includes Michael Gambon, Rufus Sewell, and Hayley Atwell. Did we mention the script was penned by the British novelist who's writing the new James Bond books?
Sure, we're in serious D.A. withdrawal, but we're also intrigued by Restless in its own right. So, if you need us on December 7 at 9 p.m., we'll be on the couch, thanks. Check the trailer and see if you agree (we have a feeling you will).
