This May Be New Balance’s Most Fun Collaboration Yet

While once upon a time we wouldn't have put "stylish" and "sneakers" in the same sentence, a string of collaborations over the past couple of years has revolutionized how we think of comfortable footwear. Now, tennis shoes rival sky-high stilettos at Fashion Week. And, the closets of even the most devoted high-heel lovers wouldn't be complete without off-duty sneaks.
New Balance alone has gained serious fashion credit by lending its logo and expertise to the likes of Nine West and J.Crew. Of all the partnerships on its resume, the brand's latest collaboration may be its most fun yet: Coming this February, you can rock sneakers courtesy of New Balance and Kate Spade Saturday.
As we saw in its latest lookbook, New Balance doesn't eschew bright hues and playful combos. Kate Spade's sister brand isn't for the pattern-shy, either. That, on top of Saturday's commitment to easy-going style, makes this partnership feel very organic. And, when you see how well New Balance's quality soles and Saturday's signature prints come together, you'll be wondering why it didn't happen sooner. Whether you wear these on the track or for a lap of the mall, the black-and-white zigzags and paint splatters will pack on the whimsy.
You'll have to wait until February to get your hands on these pairs. For $95 a pop, they'll be available for purchase online, at Kate Spade Saturday brick-and-mortar locations, and at select New Balance stores.
