Panda Bear
proves once again that when it comes to capturing beautiful melody infused with nostalgia (and reverb) there is no one else that compares. On "Last Night at the Jetty", Noah Benjamin Lennox is almost impossibly sweet and sincere. The lyrics drift in and out, sometimes intelligible, oftentimes not, as the song conjures images of summer nights and first loves. At one point Panda Bear asks “Didn’t I have a good time?”. The question, of course, is rhetorical.
