Get Rollin’! A Retro Skate Pop-Up In Collins Park Is Happening This Sunday

roller-party-main
Roller skating may inspire memories of awkward hand-holding and embarrassing, eight-wheeled concussions, but the retro-fad (or sport, if you ask roller derby gals) is just as much fun as ever. So, to undo relive those hallowed memories, we're super-psyched to hear that evian is offering a pop-up roller skating party in Collins Park.
Sure, the event is hoping to break the record of world's longest conga line (a prestigious title, surely), but the party is to remind Miami to keep hydrated in celebration of World Health Day. And it's not just chicken dances and wobbly knees — the host for the event is the very lovely Gabrielle Union. For those of us who don't have roller skates on hand, we feel for you: Fortunately, there will be a rental shop open to the public for your skating needs. An adorable weekend date? An accident waiting to happen? A conga line pile-up? Either way, it'll make this Sunday one to remember.
When: Saturday, April 7 from noon to 4 p.m.
Where: Collins Park, Collins Avenue (between 21st and 22nd streets).
