Miami’s Not Done Obsessing Over Carly Rae Jepsen

If you’re anything like us, your love for Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” has reached an unhealthy level. While the song’s major play day is wearing thin, the remixes are just reaching their full potential. Our recently found favorite is by The Jane Doze, an awesome female DJ mashup duo out of NYC that specializes in mixing all our favorite indie music with the likes of all the pop we secretly crave (and has spawned some celebrity fans, including that of Katy Perry and Pete Wentz). Dangerously likable creations, if you ask us, and all done with The Jane Doze's quotable tagline "Antler's Up". Skrillex, Porter Robinson, Jessie J, and Carly Rae Jepsen all take the fall for their recent ingenuity set forth in “Call Me J. Robinson” (so clever!), and you can hear it LIVE this weekend when the duo head up Miami at The Stage Saturday night with local DJ Troy Kurtz and rapping + violin talent LMJ (Yes, Miami is home to a rapping violin talent). A chance to dance our faces off to a rendition of “Call Me Maybe” in public? We wouldn’t miss it for the world. We’ve been practicing in the comfort of our own homes workspaces for a good time now, anyway.

Where: The Stage Miami, 170 NE 37th Street.

When: Saturday, April 28th, 10 p.m. $10.
